Throughout the decades, first Hugo and then his son Matts Ahlskog managed an expanding and continuously evolving tannery. In the late 1970s the company began to search for new core businesses alongside leather.

Oy Ahlskog Ab is a forward thinking parent company that values traditions, but is also not afraid to relinquish something old to find something new. In recent years Ahlskog has experienced substantial transformations and has moved boldly into new fields. In 1997 the company acquired Mesmec and Scancool (formerly Kokkolan Kylmähuolto) and in the 2000s the company has invested substantially in the development of its subsidiaries.

Ahlskog Oy participates in Ahlskog Leather Ab operations as a minority shareholder and the company’s landlord.
